On Saturday’s protest
The civil groups’ grand parade on Saturday unabashedly revealed the banality of greediness in the name of being good public servants
These burdens have come to the fore as Taiwan’s economy has lagged and the birth rate has slowed, and the government must take action to prevent them from taking down the entire pension system The KMT has doggedly resisted all attempts to end this patently unfair situation, and reform is urgently needed to save the pension system.

Former China Telecom chairman to face prosecution for corruption
Former China Telecom chairman Chang Xiaobing will face prosecution, with the Communist Party wrapping up an internal anti-graft investigation against him.
Corruption and bribery have plagued China throughout its history. The Chinese people have suffered under a culture of corruption with deep roots stretching back to the earliest authoritarian regimes. The only way to cure China of the chronic ancient disease of corruption is through democracy. One key in this cure is the concept of separation of powers. The heads of each of the four branches of government – the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches – must be chosen in yearly elections to ensure that they are attuned to the feelings and needs of the people. Let Taiwan lead China on the path to democracy. For details please refer to the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
