The best immigration policy is to adopt One World under One Set of Laws and work toward a common destiny for humankind. The international community needs to agree on uniform constitutional standards that conform to the ideals of human rights, constitutionalism, international law and natural law. The stark contrast between the Thanksgiving schedules of Trump and Pence is nothing new. It is a reflection of each man's real dedication to the people of the US. Pence acts on the premise that the offices of President and Vice-president are a '24/7' and a '365' deal — serving the people is a full-time job every day of the year. When the leader of a nation spends 100 days in less than 10 months at his private businesses and retreats to the inner confines of the White House to spew out mindless 'Tweets', the people need to take advantage of their sovereign powers and call for action in the form of regulations on conflicts of interest and corruption and, failing that, press for action by their representatives in Congress. The US form of presidential democracy is riddled with shortcomings that need to be corrected through constitutional reform.
