Cuba's government is dysfunctional, and reform is urgently needed to install a modified semi-presidential system. All nations should support Taiwan's call to install One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people, to ensure peace in the South China Sea. China and its neighbors must act in concert with each other toprotect the rights of each nation regarding transportation and resources. Articles 4 and 6 of the 2002 Declaration include provisions which offer peaceful ways to resolve territorial and jurisdictional disputes. These include joint development and sharing of resources in the area as well as safeguarding peace and prosperity. North Korea is obviously being backed by a major power. The US and other nations should support Taiwan's Charter for Permanent Peace to lead China to democratize, forcing North Korea to follow suit and drop its nuclear weapons program. Emmanuel Kant once noted, 'The pursuit of permanent peace is the highest goal of reason and a moral obligation.' China claims to be a 'responsible major power',thus it should not enable North Korea's continued militarism.
