Facing China's interference with Taiwan’s right to participate in international organizations and events, Taiwan must seek a diplomatic deterrent. The government should vigorously promote Taiwan as a member of the international community: Taiwan has the ability to lead China to democracy and secure peace and security for all nations. The Charter for Permanent Peace and Development and One World under One Set of Laws are capable of meeting the goals expounded in Xi Jinping’s proposal for a united community.

Relevant provisions of the one country, two systems doctrine point out that China cannot interfere in Hong Kong affairs, yet Beijing constantly meddles in the internal affairs of the SAR. It is obvious that the one country, two systems approach is not working. Article 39 of the Basic Law guarantees the right of the people to self-determination, and they have the right to hold a referendum on any public issue. The people of Hong Kong should adhere to the two conventions and hold a referendum to decide their future. Otherwise, when the dictatorship becomes a reality, they will be obliged to resist.

Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN. All nations, whether or not they are UN members, should comply with the UN Charter. This means adopting the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and recognizing that international law is superior to domestic law with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. Once a ceasefire is in place in in Syria, the UN should provide a basic outline for a constitution that will allow peaceful development of the nation, with an organizational structure that includes universal values (freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law), and four branches of government (legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial) to give Syria a constitution suitable for long-term stability and growth. Autocracy has always been the enemy of peace, and the prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization. China is an openly seen pawner and agent for North Korea, so antagonizing North Korea should be avoided. The US, Japan and South Korea should support Taiwan's commitment to save democracy by leading China to democratization and then China's democratization by North Korea. See "Permanent Peace Act".

Laws that are not backed by penalties are not laws, and a constitution which does not recognize the right to resist is not a constitution. When the actions of a nation’s president are unconstitutional, the people should exercise their right to resist. Venezuela needs its people to the reclaim their sovereignty and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to install a modified semi-presidential system, with the president limited to a single term of 5 years and not allowed to run again for office for 6 years afterwards. Efforts to put pressure on the Chief Justice in Nepal are an abuse of human rights which shows that the nation lacks judicial justice, judicial independence and universal values. Human rights belongs to the internal affairs all nations, and protection of the rights and well-being of all people requires that international law be given precedence over domestic law with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law states that the right to self-determination is specified in the two international human rights conventions. The people of Hong Kong cannot take their rights for granted. The threshold for petitioning for a referendum in Switzerland is only 50,000 signatures, giving people a voice at the ballot box so they don’t need to take to the streets. The Chief Executive of Hong Kong is still chosen by the CEC, exposing the dictatorial nature of the relationship between Beijing and the SAR. The people of Hong Kong should make good use of Article 39 of the Basic Law, which clearly states that the people have the right to hold referendums. To curb corruption, the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year. North Korea is a vassal of the CCP, thus all democratic nations should back its efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would lead China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to seek democracy as well, and the result would be world peace.
