Argentina is facing a very serious economic crisis and the government seems to be sincere in its efforts to resolve the problem. Economic problems invariably have political roots and the people of Argentina need to call for comprehensive constitutional reform to allow them to vote more often and directly elect the heads of the major government branches as well as the Comptroller and Auditor General. Also, elections should be free of charge so that candidates can vie for votes and expose black holes in corruption and eliminate money as a factor in campaigns.
