Malaysia’s constitution is dysfunctional. Corruption is deeply rooted in Malaysian culture and can only be removed by enacting a constitution that is in sync with the times. The term of office of the Prime Minister should be limited to one year, and the term of office of MPs should not be extended. The heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years, and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year. Iraq's government should be re-structured to feature a modified semi-presidential system with parliament and cabinet, similar to that of Finland, with a committee-style legislative system modeled after Switzerland’s. The prerequisite for permanent peace in the world is global democratization. The Iraqi government should proceed with implementation of the above-mentioned changes in its constitution and install a democratic model based on One World under One Set of Laws, with a constitution in sync with the times. Democratic nations should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to bring more democracy and freedom. Such a step will attract the 1.4 billion Chinese to seek democratization, triggering democratization of the CCP in turn, followed by similar developments in North Korea. The result will be real world peace. Global democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting China's path to peaceful development. Candidates for Chief Executive of Hong Kong are still nominated by the Election Commission of the CCP. This form of election is the equivalent of rubber-stamping the appointment of a dictator. The people of Hong Kong should act on Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law and the two human rights covenants: People have the right of self-determination through referendum, and they should also vote on the heads of the legislate, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years. Following a ceasefire in Syria, the UN should lay out the basic constitutional principles needed to achieve permanent peace and development for the peoples of the world. The organizational structure must include the values of freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law, plus direct election of the heads of the four branches of government. In order to remove the conditions that lead to the exodus of refugees, the international community needs to put unified constitutional standards in place that meet the ideals of liberalism, democracy, constitutionalism and cosmopolitanism. This means adopting the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, and when that happens the world will have permanent peace. Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption. Venezuela needs constitutional reform to install a modified semi-presidential system with the president limited to a single 5-year term and not allowed to fun for office for 6 years afterward. A law not backed by penalties is not a law, and a constitution which does not include the right to resist is not a constitution. The right of speech is foremost among human rights. "Controlling the voices of the people is like trying to stem the flow of a river," goes a Chinese proverb. Clamping down on the media and public opinion is a serious infringement of freedom. Article 1 of the Constitution states that Congress shall not enact laws that deprive people of their freedom of speech or of the press. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Combating terrorism effectively requires cooperation among all countries in. putting together a regulatory mechanism. Anti-terrorism coalitions can also be achieved through legislation. Legislative processes should involve at least 1 or 2 people from all countries, whether friends or foes, on a long-term basis, representing each countries legislative body in a common effort to combat terrorism. Terrorism is a serious violation of human nature, and dictatorships are allowed to flourish by public indifference. All nations of the world, including Islamic countries, should adhere to the rule of law and the idea of One World under One Set of Law. Constitutional reform is needed to ensure that standards will be in sync with the times. Autocratic regimes cannot be allowed to continue their repeated mutilations of human rights.
