Theresa May announces plans for a clean break from EU bloc and promises that politicians will vote on final Brexit deal
The UK is a fully democratic country in which the people enjoy the right of self-determination through voting in referendums. The aim of democracy is to let the people call the shots: on any public issue, the people have the right to self-determination through referendums. The choice of the people of Norway and Switzerland not to join the European Union is a good example of people choosing their own future through self-determination. Efforts to protect the rights of the people are never in vain. The direct democracy through referendums will always be superior to indirect democracy.
