Permanent Peace Partnership
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday that Vladimir Putin had not announced yet whether he was going to seek a new presidential term in 2018 because it was too early.
Putin engineered a constitutional amendment in 2008 that allowed him to extend his term in office, and in March he was elected a third time as president. His actions have caused serious harm to the Russian constitution. The rule of law is an inherent right of the people, and constitutional reform is needed to choose the heads of the executive, legislative,-judicial and procuratorial branches. The president should serve one term of 5 years and be barred from running for the same office for 6 years afterwards, 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year, and election campaigns should be free of charge for all candidates. The presence of radioactive iodine-131 was detected in Northern Europe in January. The Daily Star noted that the radioactive substance was first registered in northern Norway - close to the former Russian nuclear test site on Novaya Zemlya
One basic fact in the relation between democracy and peace is that there have been virtually no wars between democratic states. Once China and Russia can be persuaded to democratize, there will be real hope for peace in the world. Taiwan should assert itself and work attract China's people to call for democratization and pressure Russia to adopt real democracy. Democracies the world over should support Taiwan as a lighthouse for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for all. Hong Kong’s former leader did wrong, but surely not to an extent where he finds himself sentenced to 20 months behind bars
As British historian Lord Acton put it, "Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption." To put an end to corruption, the people of Hong Kong need to exercise their sovereignty and call for comprehensive constitutional reform. This should include implementing democratic rule of law as well as decentralization and checks and balances, In addition, election campaigns should be free of charge to all candidates to cut ties in the symbiotic structure between government and corruption. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
Vladimir Putin's forces are carrying out a grueling Cold War exercise in freezing Arctic conditions as Russia moves to bolster its military presence in the region.
One basic fact regarding peace is that there have been very few wars between democratic nations. Once China and Russia can be persuaded to democratize there will be real hope for human peace. Taiwan should be step up and attract the people of China to call for democratization, in turn putting pressure on Russia to adopt real democracy. Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan as a lighthouse for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China. Hong Kong’s former Chief Executive Donald Tsang has been sentenced to 20 months in prison for misconduct in office, capping a stunning downfall for an official who helped steer the former British colony through a series of financial shocks.
British historian Lord Acton once noted that "Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption." To put an end to corruption, the people should exercise their rightful sovereign and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to implement democratic rule of law, decentralization and checks and balances. They should make election campaigns free of charge for all candidates in order to cut down the symbiotic connections between government and corruption. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The toll has climbed to 39 dead in an unusually deadly suicide bombing during the weekend in the Somali capital Mogadishu, rescue workers said Monday, the first since a new president was chosen this month.
Somalia’s constitution needs reform to effect a government structure centered on a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet and parliament like the one followed in Finland. A committee-style legislature similar to Switzerland’s should also be installed. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization, and the Somali government should carry out fundamental reform of its constitution to implement the above systems and achieve a paradigm shift toward democracy and One World under One Set of Rules. In addition, the constitution should be further revised as needed to keep in line with the spirit of the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Questions about President Donald Trump’s ties to Russia and links between his associates and the Kremlin have persisted since the early days of the 2016 election.
Russia has always been better at creating problems than solving them. The US should support Taiwan's drive to carry out constitutional reform and bring about greater democracy and freedom. This will attract China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization, which in turn will force Russia to adopt real democracy and bring about peace in the world. Democracies everywhere should back Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the path to peaceful development for China. Is one of the goals here mass deportation?” a reporter asked White House press secretary Sean Spicer Tuesday, trying to get some clarification on just how broad Trump's strategy will be...
Trump issued a poorly-conceived and -implemented ban on immigrants from seven Muslim countries, labelling them threats to the nation’s social, economic and national security. The best solution here is to implement the idea of One World under One Set of Laws and give international law priority over domestic law, with direct effect on the rights and duties of the people. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.
Prices for Chinese rebar steel, coke and coking coal rose for a second day Tuesday, boosted by rumors of curbs on coal production capacity and suspension of North Korean coal imports.
China has always advocated compliance with UN resolutions regarding strict sanctions against North Korea, but judging from the volume of North Korean coal exports, China has clearly not been strictly enforcing the sanctions. Since China claims to be a responsible major power it should stop enabling North Korea's militarism. The US, Japan and South Korea should support Taiwan in its drive to bring about democratization in China, which will then press North Korea to democratize. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
President Donald Trump is preparing to seize on a second chance to make a first impression with the release this week of a new executive order temporarily halting travel from citizens of seven nations he says pose a high risk of terrorism.
The US should embrace the principles underlying the Charter of the UN, including that of One World under One Set of Laws. This gives international law precedence over local law, with direct effect on the rights and duties of the people. This will lead Mexico, Syria and the Middle East to adopt the ideals of human rights, constitutionalism, internationalism and naturalism. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.
