You'd think the most common complaint from the voting public would be about the inadequacies of the legislative process, the archaic nature of the proceedings or even the failure of ministers to answer questions.
To avoid further escalation in grievances and tension, Ireland should end its suppression and repression of citizens. It should study the processes followed in referendums by Switzerland and in elections in the state of California. Citizens should be able to voice their opinions through the ballot box and not on the streets. To that end, elections should be completely free for all candidates.
