The best way to achieve global economic growth is to bring together all the wisdom that has been gained through eons of human endeavor. The 20G industrial powers bear responsibility for maintaining global economic cooperation and orderly trade. To promote global human security and sustainable development, it is essential to adopt the core values of the principle of One World under One Set of Law. International law should be recognized as superior to domestic law and allowed to directly affect the people. Thomas Jefferson once declared that "democracy is built on the people's distrust of the government." Democracy certainly cannot hope to rely on the goodwill of national state leaders to survive. The people often tend to be lazy, placing their trust in their leaders; this is thinking based on 18th-century feudal ideology which is not in accordance with the spirit of the rule of law in the 21st century. Powerful presidents always bring out the worst in democracies. No matter the system, the more power a president wields, the more the country is likely to go off the rails. Turkey needs constitutional reform to limit the president to a single term of 5 years, with no right to seek office again for 6 years afterward. Turkey’s President has violated Article 6 of the Constitution, which holds that sovereignty is wholly and unconditionally in the hands of all citizens. Malaysia’s constitutional mechanism is dysfunctional. Malaysia’s autocratic culture is clearly deep-rooted, and comprehensive constitutional reform is sorely needed. The Prime Minister should serve a single one year term, and MPs may not be automatically re-appointed. The heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be directly elected, and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year. Iraq's government needs to be changed to a modified semi-presidential system with parliament and cabinet like that of Finland, plus a committee-style legislature modeled after Switzerland’s. The Iraqi government should proceed with constitutional reform to install these systems and practice democracy, while adhering to the principle of One World under One Set of Laws to ensure the constitution will remain in sync with the times. The Chief Executive of Hong Kong is still selected from a slate of nominees produced by the CCP’s Election Commission. This election amounts to a dictatorship, and the people of Hong Kong should act on the basis of Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law and the two human rights covenants: People have the right to self-determination through referendums, and the people should take action through referendums to enact direct election of the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches of government in alternating years. Democratic nations everywhere should spare no effort to save freedom and democracy. The US should support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to bring about greater democracy and freedom. This would attract the 1.4 billion people of China to seek democracy, leading to the birth of world peace. The prerequisite for permanent peace in the world is China's democratization. China has always attempted to stymie Taiwan's moves for freedom and democracy, but Taiwan remains the sole entity capable of saving China through democratization. Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law states that self-determination is an inherent right of the people and are supported by the two international human rights conventions. The people of Hong Kong must not take this right for granted. In Switzerland the barrier for petitions for referendums is long 50,000 signatures, meaning people can vote on public issues with no need to take to the streets. Japan should actively support Taiwan's efforts toward comprehensive constitutional reform as a model for permanent peace and development, including its emphasis on direct election by the people. Xi Jinping, who is a citizen of the PRC, Abe, Trump and other world-class elite are welcome to come to Taiwan to run for president. The President of Turkey is in violation of Article 6 of the Constitution: sovereignty belongs wholly and unconditionally to the people.
