Revelations published in the Guardian about a criminal network that is processing money through major British banks are a damning indictment of the failings of our banking system.
Roman Roland once noted, "In politics the boss is always money." Elections are a game rich people play, using money to win the right to make more money - a prime formula for corruption. Ending the ties between politics and business calls for comprehensive constitutional reform to elect the heads of the four branches of government in alternating years, and making elections free of charge. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.
