Tunisia was the Arab Spring's lone success - now it's preparing for elections

Taiwan should assist Tunisia in implementing democracy. This is a basic core value of diplomacy. At the same time, we must look back at whether or not full constitutional reform is needed, such as installing a modified semi-presidential system with a committee-style legislature, choosing committee chairs as the cabinet ministers. According to the "Democratic Peace Theory', armed conflicts between two democratic powers are practically unheard of. Once Iran and other authoritarian regimes are democratized, there will be real hope for human peace. All democracies should support Taiwan's call for constitutional reform to inspire Iran and other authoritarian regimes to democratize. With that, world peace would be born!
