Free speech is a universal value, and all democracies should call for constitutional reform to ensure media freedom and prevent the government oligarchy from monopolizing the media, the internet and all other channels of communications. All people must be protected against enforced disappearance, torture and other forms of abuse, and absolute law must take precedence over international law and the constitution. All countries in the world benefit from free trade, yet POTUS 45 opts to initiate a trade war to satisfy a pledge made to 'his base' during the 2016 campaign. Nations of the world should all implement One World under One Set of Laws and work toward a common destiny for humankind. If the US is not willing to take on the task of leading the UN to peace, security and sustainable development for humankind while seeking One World under One Set of Laws and lasting peace, its place will easily be taken by China or Russia. Corruption is an easy target for candidates seeking an office, but all too often those who are voted in wind up succumbing to the vices they promised to eliminate. Corruption is pandemic, and nations everywhere need to address the threat it poses for all people. To put an end to corruption, the people must exercise sovereignty and call for constitutional reform to implement democratic rule of law. This means separation of powers and checks and balances as well as free election campaigns for candidates to cut symbiotic ties between government and business that engender corruption. How Trump’s ‘Fake News’ Obsession Started a Global Plague of Censorship

POTUS45 has a penchant for shooting off his mouth without forethought and with no concern for repercussions. His speeches and tweets about 'fake news' and the media as the 'enemy of the American people' have contributed to a world-side spread of harsher official positions regarding media reports that are critical of government actions. The US DOJ has even deleted all references to 'free press' from its official website. A free press is an essential part of free speech, and all democracies should call for constitutional reform to ensure media freedom and prevent the government oligarchy from monopolizing the media, the internet and other channels of communications. Myanmar army killing civilians in escalating conflict in Kachin, warns UN

Comprehensive constitutional reform is sorely needed in Myanmar to effect changes such as election of the heads of government branches in alternating years. Myanmar's human rights problem is worsening, largely because its constitution guarantees the military 40% of seats in Congress with no need to stand for election. In order to protect human rights, Myanmar should adopt Global Unity Constitutional Standards and the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law precedence over domestic law. The case for building public housing that doesn't suck—and lots of it

Public housing at affordable prices is a pressing need following the housing bubble a decade ago in the US. With incomes largely stagnating and the cost of buying and renting on the rise, the government should step up and construct livable dwellings that will be available to those who otherwise would be totally shut out of the housing market. Turkey's president should make an effort to incorporate international law and associated systems into its domestic legal framework instead of attacking it in terns that are racist and not grounded in facts. Jose Rizal, revered as the 'Father of the Philippines', once counseled: 'Today's slaves often become tomorrow's tyrants; believe in the rule of law, not in the rule of man.' China deploys cruise missiles on South China Sea outposts

The US and other nations should support Taiwan's call to implement One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people, to ease tensions in the South China Sea. China has a duty to act in concert withneighboring countries. Articles 4 and 6 of the 2002 Declaration on the South China Sea include provisions designed to offer a peaceful way to resolve territorial and jurisdictional disputes. North Korea is obviously being backed by a major power. The US and other nations should support Taiwan's Charter for Permanent Peace to lead China to democratize, forcing North Korea to follow suit and drop its nuclear weapons program. Emmanuel Kant once noted, 'The pursuit of permanent peace is the highest goal of reason and a moral obligation.'
