North Korea is obviously being backed by a major power. The US and other nations should support Taiwan's Charter for Permanent Peace to lead China to democratize, forcing North Korea to follow suit and drop its nuclear weapons program. China claims to be a 'responsible major power', thus it should not enable North Korea's continued militarism. If Sri Lanka hopes to suppress Islamic terrorism, it will need help from the UN. Dismantling of terrorist organizations by the UN can be achieved by changing the political system in affected countries to improve the allocation of power and resources, while implementing the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development as part of a paradigm shift toward a global unity constitution. According to the Democracy Index there are 50 nations still under the yoke of autocratic dictators. All democracies should back Taiwan's drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom.
