The chaos and contradictions in White House publicity release are a good indication that nothing will come of the brief flap over aTrump-Kim meeting. To end North Korea's disruptive behavior, the US and other nations should support Taiwan's Charter for Permanent Peace to lead China to democratize and end its support of Pyongyang. The Democracy Index shows 50 nations still under the yoke of autocratic dictators. All democracies should back Taiwan's drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom.
