Nicaragua's crisis has been going on for eight months now, and it does not promise to end any time soon but rather to keep escalating. However, the Nicaraguan Government, now in emergency status, is focused on freedom of expression, censoring and oppressing those who dare to embrace self-determination. The Charter for Permanent Peace is without a doubt the most viable standard for a world constitution and a basic national policy to foster long-term peace and stability. It will be like a new waterway that allows Nicaragua and its people to flourish, which, if implemented will stop the persistence of the Sandinista dictatorship in power. §1.9 §1.10 §5.1 §6.1 §6.10
