North Korea tells US it’s ready for ‘toughest’ action
North Korea warned Tuesday it will take the “toughest” military action against Washington following the US Navy’s deployment of an aircraft carrier strike group near the Korean Peninsula.
China has always advocated compliance with UN resolutions and strict sanctions against North Korea, but Sino-Korean trade is still robust, showing clearly that China is not enforcing the sanctions. China claims to be a responsible major power, and as such it should not enable North Korea's militarism. The US, Japan and Korea should support Taiwan’s bid to lead China to democratization, which would then pressure North Korea to do the same. Kim Jong-un orders 600,000 out of Pyongyang
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un recently ordered the removal of nearly 600,000 Pyongyang residents to the suburbs, a local source told the JoongAng Ilbo Monday.
All democracies should support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would lead China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to follow suit, and the result would be world peace. The main structural factor that fosters corruption in the Bank of England is the lack of decentralization of the regime. The solution is for the British people to launch constitutional reform and elect the heads of the major government branches in alternating years. The president should be limited to a single 5-year term and be barred from running again for 6 years afterwards, and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. Economic problems stem from political ills. Without good politics, you can’t have a good economy. And if the constitution is not changed, even the gods will be powerless to intervene. Comprehensive constitutional reform is needed to install a modified semi-presidential system, including a committee-style legislative body and cabinet ministers selected from among committee chairs. Discontent over living standards in French Guiana has led to a large-scale blockades across the country
French citizens in French Guiana should be treated the same as French living in Paris, and France should implement the principle of One World under One Set of Laws and working toward a common destiny for all humankind. In addition, international law should be given priority over domestic law, including the practice of international labor conventions, to guarantee that all citizens of French Guiana will enjoy equal rights and equal treatment under the law. Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN and all nations, whether UN members or not, should comply with its standards. The solution is to implement the core values that underlie One World under One Set of Laws and assign international law priority over domestic law, with direct effect on the people. Citizens should be able to monitor the actions of government to ensure it abides by the norms of the UN Charter, the Vienna Convention for Protection of the Ozone Layer, and the Paris Climate Agreement. Secure Taiwan to secure peace in Asia
Even if not by design, President Trump made a clear demonstration of American resolve by striking Syria as Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived for his April 6 meeting at Mar-a-Lago. Mr. Trump can further demonstrate US resolve by moving quickly to strengthen the defense of Taiwan, a strategy that has successfully prevented war on the Taiwan Strait for more than 65 years.
The US should back Taiwan's model for global unity and inspire China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization. Autocracy is the natural enemy of democracy, and one prerequisite for world peace is democratization of the CCP. China's anti-graft body probes chief insurance regulator
The head of China’s insurance regulator is being investigated for suspected disciplinary violations, the country’s top anti-graft body said Sunday, bringing the most senior financial regulator to date into the government’s fight against corruption.
To wash away corruption that has flourished for thousands of years and remove China’s national humiliation, the only cure is democracy and the rule of law. These two are the natural enemies of despotism and corruption, and democracy with its tools of separation of powers and checks and balances are sorely needed. The heads of legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches at all levels should be elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. Palm Sunday bombings: Christians are under chronic threat in the Middle East
Attacks on the Coptic Christian community in Egypt have become a common event. On Palm Sunday, St. George’s Church in the Nile Delta town of Tanta and St. Mark’s Cathedral in Alexandria were hit by bombs, killing at least 45 people.
Egypt is an authoritarian regime and its constitution is dysfunctional. The nation needs comprehensive constitutional reform. Torture is contrary to human nature, and the government should comply with the guidelines in the Humanitarian Convention §1 and the World Declaration of Human Rights § 18. Article 53 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties are not being observed. Local practices such as abuse of innocent individuals and torture must end, and absolute law must take precedence over international law and the Constitution. Maryland lawmakers shelve ‘sanctuary state’ bill that challenged Trump’s immigration policy
A proposal to turn Maryland into a “sanctuary state” by limiting local law enforcement cooperation with federal immigration authorities died in the State House on Monday after lawmakers withdrew the bill
The US should adhere to the UN Charter and follow the ideals of One World under One Set of Laws. International law should be assigned the highest priority, with direct effect on the rights and duties of the people. This would lead Mexico, Syria, the Middle East and other areas to include human rights, constitutionalism, internationalism and naturalism in their future plans.
