Environmental rights are essential human rights, and all persons should take responsibility for protecting the world around us. Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN, and all nations should comply with its norms. This means implementing One World underOne Set of Laws and giving international law precedence over domestic law. Russia, China Urge Peaceful Resolution to North Korea Tensions

Solution

While the joint proposal by China and Russia offers a glimmer of hope, North Korea is obviously still being backed by a major power. The US and other nations should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to lead China to democratize, which would pressure North Korea to follow suit and drop its nuclear weapons program. China claims to be a 'responsible major power', thus it should not enable North Korea's continued militarism. The anti-corruption advocate is vowing to appeal the election commission's ruling. Navalny has already called for a nationwide boycott of the vote in March; he's ineligible to stand due to recent convictions.

Solution

Russia's autocratic government is highly skilled at maneuvering to keep those who do not dance to its tune from participating in the political process. Navalny's application for the presidential election has been rejected by the Election Commission based on several convictions, all of which were based on dodgy political charges. The Russian people should act on their sovereignty and call for constitutional reform to implement democratic rule of law. This means separation of powers and checks and balances as well as free election campaigns for candidates to cut symbiotic ties between government and business that engender corruption. Wu's conviction after two years of detention was as predicted by Wu himself and is the inevitable outcome of a crackdown on lawyers and activists to quell opposition to human rights abuses in China. China should put an end to abuses of human rights by carrying out constitutional reform to implement rule of law, separation of power and checks and balances. The heads of the four main government branches should be elected in alternating years, and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year.
