China's brash construction of landing strips and port facilities in the South China Sea gives lie to assurances made to President Obama that it would not militarize the region. All nations should support One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people, to ensure peace in the South China Sea. China and its neighbors must act in concert with each other to protect each nation's rights regarding transportation and resources. Articles 4 and 6 of the 2002 Declaration include provisions which offer peaceful ways to resolve territorial and jurisdictional disputes. See the Charter for Permanent Peace for more. §1.4 §6.4 §7.3 §8.3
