Torture is not an ultimate and viable solution for the perpetrators of crime. Often in South Asia, it is often misuse by those in power and supported by mistrust of justice system. Therefore, it is important to strive for transformational justice. The historical truth and archives are open, and a 'complex compromise' is sought between justice and social harmony. Regardless of the past, present, or future, the pursuit of justice and the transformation of justice are endless. The UN should, on the one hand, take action on the crime of abusing people while on the other hand assisting Myanmar in changing its government system to establisha legal foundation for permanent peace. Myanmar is in serious need of constitutional reform to protect the rights of its minorities and limit the powers of the military in government.
