Permanent Peace Partnership
Absolute power leads to absolute corruption. Democracy is far from perfect and the presidential system has its various flaws - even the US has certain problems at times. South Korea needs to revamp its constitution to introduce a modified semi-presidential system, and the presidency should be publicly declared to be above party politics. At the same time, the heads of the judicial and procuratorial branches should be directly elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.
The government of mainland China is rife with corruption, a situation which can be attributed to thousands of years of graft and bribery at every level of officialdom. The only way to overthrow this deeply-engrained culture is to put power squarely in the hands of the people through direct elections of key officials including the president and vice president and the heads of the four branches of government. This must be complemented by the election of 1/4 of Parliament each year and other measures to ensure separation of power. The Charter for Permanent Peace and Development offers solutions that will end corruption once and for all.
North Koreans working overseas were told Saturday by North Korean authorities not to watch reports on the murder of Kim Jong Nam, the half brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, sources close to North Korea in Southeast Asia and other places told The Yomiuri Shimbun.
Promotion of global permanent peace is a sacred right of humankind. China functions as an enabler and agent for North Korea, and North Korea’s militarism cannot be ignored. The US, Japan and Korea should back Taiwan as it works to lead China to seek democratization, which would pressure North Korea to follow suit. The key to solving the Korean Peninsula issue is Taiwan. “We will certainly watch closely those who might cause any disruption and we will take timely and deterrent measures,” Mahmoud Alavi asserted.
most important universal values. The Iranian government is attempting to muzzle the voices of the people, a goal akin to trying to stem the flow of a river. The goal appears to be to create a society that speaks in only one voice. The Iranian people should come forward and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to protect the media and prevent the government from monopolizing the media, the Internet and all other channels of speech. Any so-called Islamic State fighters left in Mosul will die in the Iraqi city, a US envoy co-ordinating the offensive has said.
Iraq’s government should change its structure through constitutional reform to install a modified semi-presidential system like that of Finland. Its legislative system should be switched out for a committee-style system similar to Switzerland’s. The Iraqi government should carry out fundamental constitutional change to implement the above systems and practice a paradigm shift in democracy. This would include adherence to One World under One Set of Laws, with amendments to the constitution as needed to ensure it is step with the times. South Korean President Park Geun-hye’s impeachment is an alarming situation given the rising military threat from North Korea. There are concerns about stability in the East Asia region and the impact on relations between Japan and South Korea.
Absolute power leads to absolute corruption. The presidential version of democracy has a number of critical flaws, even in the US. South Korea's constitution should be re-written to include a modified semi-presidential system, and the presidency should be declared to be above party politics. The heads of the judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.
South Korean Ambassador to the US Ahn Ho-young asked a group if they knew what Vice President Mike Pence, National Security Adviser Herbert McMaster and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford had in common. One shouted, “The Korean War!”
One lesson learned from the Korean War is that democratic countries should support Taiwan's bid to carry out constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would encourage China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP, and in turn North Korea would be pressed to opt for real democracy – leading to the birth of world peace. All democratic nations should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China. Trump’s executive order, erroneously titled “Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States,” exposes not just the Islamophobia and incompetence of Trump’s inner circle, but also their disregard for basic human rights and international norms.
Human security is a fundamental human right, and human rights must take precedence over regimes and sovereigns. Constitutions represent the general will of the people and must be effective in ensuring human security. Security and personal safety are among the most basic and urgent obligations of constitutional guarantors. Constitutional standards must be constantly reviewed and amended to ensure they are in keeping with the times and the government will the people’s freedoms and safety. The case of arrival of some foreign citizens in the state and their settlement in Jammu, almost facilitated by the then Central and State Governments, has flared up as wild fire. Sections of civil society, the legal fraternity and media have raised questions arguing that it violates the State Subject law, which the State of Jammu and Kashmir has long held as sacrosanct.
Donald Trump’s first ban on immigrants was a poorly stated and implemented order intended to bar people from Muslim-majority countries, citing the need for defense against social and economic problems and national security threats. The best solution to this challenge is implement the principle of One World under One Set of Laws, assigning international law precedence over domestic law with direct effect on the rights and duties of the people.
