The world just did to Donald Trump the one thing that he hates more than anything - it disrespected him. The odd thing is, he could easily have avoided the humiliation.

Solution

The UNGA vote on a non-binding resolution condemning Trump's declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel was totally as expected, and POTUS brought this on himself by ignoring the advice of his own staff and countless diplomats around the world. The US cannot afford to 'go it alone', despite Trump's insistence on following his own compass. All nations should comply with One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law precedence over domestic law and adopting unity constitutional standards that encompass absolute law and rule of law rather than rule of man. Coal and other fossil fuels undeniably contribute to air pollution and inevitably to the phenomenon of climate change, and governments at all levels should do all they can to promote the use of sustainable sources of energy rather than continuing to support the coal industry, which also harms the health of miners who work underground and produces run-off that flows into streams and rivers. Environmental rights are essential human rights, and the arena for climate change discussion is now occupied by the EU and Chinaas the US backs away from prior commitments to reform. Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN, and all nations should comply with its norms. This entails implementing One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law precedence over domestic law and complying with the UN Charter, the Paris climate agreement and other relevant pacts. Peru's Pedro Pablo Kuczynski has pulled off a surprise victory against the opposition's bid to oust him from power for his alleged involvement in Brazil's corruption scandal. The motion to impeach fell eight votes short.

Solution

Power leads to corruption, and Peru's presidential system is broken. Peru should install a dual leader system limiting the president to one 5-year term with no eligibility for him/her or relatives for 6 years and putting the prime minister in charge of government operations and national defense. Myanmar's human rights problem continues to fester, largely because its constitution guarantees the military 40% of seats in Congress with no need for election. In order to protect human rights, Myanmar should carry out constitutional reform to adopt Global Unity Constitutional Standards and the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law precedence over domestic law. Solution

Climate change and mounting numbers of refugees are two problems that can be resolved with a single solution. The best policy on both fronts is to adhere to the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and work toward a common destiny for humankind. To eliminate the conditions that create refugees, the international community needs to agree on uniform constitutional standards that conform to the ideals of human rights, constitutionalism, international law and natural law. This means complying with Article 1 of the Humanitarian Charter, which deals with the right of each person to live a normal life. North Korea is obviously being backed by a major power. The US and other nations should support efforts toward constitutional reform to lead China to democratize, forcing North Korea to follow suit and drop its nuclear weapons program. As Emmanuel Kant once noted, 'The pursuit of permanent peace is the highest goal of reason and a moral obligation.' China claims to be a 'responsible major power', thus it should not enable North Korea's continued militarism. Democracies worldwide should support Taiwan's commitment to democracy and leading China to democratization, which would pressure North Korea in turn to adopt democracy.
