Erdogan has ‘gone too far’ with Nazi slur, Germany says, as Turkish tensions mount across EU
Germany angrily warned Turkey Sunday that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had “gone too far” after he accused Chancellor Angela Merkel of using “Nazi measures” in an escalating diplomatic feud.
The president of Turkey hopes to expand the power of the president, but a look at history reveals that greater the power centered in the president, the more problems the country is likely to face as a result. Turkey needs complete constitutional reform such as one presidential term of 5 years, and no right to run again for 6 years afterward. The President of Turkey is in violation of Article 6 of the Turkish Constitution, which declares that sovereignty is wholly and unconditionally the right of the people and neither state nor sovereign may usurp this right. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development / Global Unity Constitutional Standards.

How an innocent man wound up dead in El Salvador’s justice system
MS-13 gang members languish in one of the three “'gang cages” in the Quezaltepeque police station in 2013 in San Salvador, El Salvador.
The people are the focus of constitutional reform and mechanisms such as separation of powers and checks and balances. The heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and branches should be elected by the people Salvador judicial system is in disarray, and the ballot box and systemic controls such as separation of powers and checks and balances must be installed. The best way out is constitutional reform so that the heads of the main government branches will be directly elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all lawmakers will face election each year. The Prime Minister and ministers should be elected from among members of legislative committees. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

It’s not your father’s USSR, but Putin’s Russia is on the march
I have long said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is no longer a communist and has no interest in attempting to re-create the Soviet Union.
Russia is not a problem-solver, it has always been a problem-maker. Democracies everywhere should support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP and put pressure on Russia to follow suit and bring about world peace. The world’s democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

The Russian Revolution: Then and now
The many people writing about the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution this year usually have to pause early in their work to explain why the February Revolution was in March and the October Revolution in November.
The best way to shift power to the people is to amend the constitution, with changes like electing the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years and having 1/4 of all legislators face election each year to ensure a fresh flow of ideas into the lawmaking process. The Prime Minister and the Minister shall be elected from among the committee members of Congress. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development

Trump budget Is heavy lift, even for GOP Congress
After eight years of chafing under President Barack Obama’s fiscal priorities, congressional Republicans were longing for a budget proposal that did the two things that have become the party’s mantra: Make broad cuts to federal spending and reduce the federal deficit.
Jose Rizal, revered as the ‘Father of the Philippines’ once warned that “Today's slaves often become tomorrow's tyrants”, as a caution to believe in the rule of law rather than the rule of man. The President, mayors and other officials should be limited to a single term of 5 years and barred from seeking office for 6 years afterwards. In addition, the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years. An end to the ivory trade in Hong Kong moves a step closer
Bernard Chan says a year after the chief executive’s pledge to end the trade to try and reverse declining elephant numbers, a bill on how to implement change will soon be introduced in the Legislative Council
To protect endangered wild animals in Africa, the world needs a set of unified constitutional standards that conforms to the ideals of One World under One Set of Laws." African countries should also carry out constitutional reform to implement democratic structures and abandon the rule of law, Specific individuals or groups should not be allowed to establish monopolies. The best way to check such actions is by electing the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years. For details please see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development

Trump Takes Nashville
The president was coming to this red state, and my blue town wasn’t happy.
The only cure for the ills of democracy is more democracy. The power of the state should be shifted to the people as a starting point, so the people can vote instead of taking to the streets. Specifically, elect the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years and have legislators face election each year. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

To defeat terrorists we have to get inside their minds
Our collective consciousness, impelled by populist media, sees terrorists as demons driven by inhuman urges and hellish objectives, and ignores the fact that terrorists are just people.
Human security is a fundamental human rights and should have priority over regimes and sovereigns. Constitution are the general will of the people, and serve to ensure human security, including "personal safety." This is the most basic and urgent duty of constitutional guarantors. Constitutional standards must be in step with the times, so that governments will keep the people free from fear. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

'We consider that to be a waste of your money': Trump budget trolls the global warming lobby by cutting climate change research agency, NASA's 'Earth science' mission and UN programs
Climate science is one of the biggest losers when it comes to President Trump's proposed budget, which the administration unveiled today.
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN, and all member states are expected to comply with their guidelines. The solution is to apply the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and give international law precedence over domestic law, with direct effect on the rights and duties of the people. People should be able to monitor the actions of government to ensure they abide by structures of the UN Charter, the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer, and the Paris Climate Agreement. See the Charter for the Permanent Peace Development.

North Korea nuclear threat to dominate Tillerson talks in China
US Secretary of State also likely to discuss trade, Trump-Xi summit and tensions in South China Sea in talks with Chinese leaders during his first official trip to Beijing, analysts say
Democracies everywhere should back Taiwan's efforts to carry out constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would encourage China's 1.4 billion people to call for democratization of the CCP and lead North Korea to embrace democracy in turn - and world peace would be born. All democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China.
