The future of Gibraltar should be decided with a look at the experience of Scotland with independence referendums. Paradigm shifts and the right to hold referendums are essential in resolving public issues. When a motion to outlaw referendums on self-determination is raised, the first referendum to be held should decide whether that particular motion should itself be banned.
