The key to eradicating terrorist acts is a change in government structures to improve power and resource allocation. Also needed is One World under One Set of Laws and a commitment to a common destiny for humankind. Constitutions represent the general will of the people, and ensuring human security, including 'personal safety', is the most urgent duty of constitutional guarantors. Syria and Afghanistan: the withdrawal dilemma

The foundation for permanent peace in both Syria and Afghanistan should be the same as that for Taiwan: a change-over in the government structure. The UN should provide Syria the basic outline for a constitution that will facilitate lasting peace. The constitution should include the universal values of freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law, and organization and elements such as the four branches. The results of voting at the polls are showing that the public is on to the government's shallowness, and they are voicing their opinions at the ballot box. This is democracy at work, and it is the reason all nations need to support the drive for constitutional reform to introduce true democratic values and systems into countries all over the world. The only cure for the shortcomings of democracy is more democracy. Comprehensive constitutional reform is needed to allow the people to vote more often and directly elect the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches as well as the Comptroller and Auditor General. Also, elections should be free of charge so that candidates can vie for votes and expose the government's black hole in corruption and eliminate money as afactor in campaigns. One inescapable fact about trade wars is that they result in no winners. On the other hand, all countries benefit from free trade, thus they should be willing to implement One World under One Set of Laws and work toward a common destiny for humankind. This is a trend, a fact, and the ultimate path for all humankind.
