Ukrainian Congressman Volodymyr Parasyuk argues that MPs should face election every two years, whether good or bad. Frequent elections, he says, will remove parasites from the more than 200 serious representatives in the legislative body.
Structural change in the election process is one way to improve the quality of the people’s representatives. Ukraine’s Duma should be re-organized on a committee-style basis to add professionalism, with specialists in all fields running in elections. 1/4 of MPs should face election each year to ensure that lawmaking stays in step with the times and decisions take both experience and public opinion into account. The term of office for representatives shall be 2 years. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau was set up specifically to address this problem more than a year ago and so far has recovered some 1 billion hryvnia back to the Treasury. Compared to the total amount of corruption, however that is chicken feed. The head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau frequently complains that the evidence they provide is conclusive, but procuratorial and judicial officials think otherwise.
Members of the procuratorial and judicial branches are common foes of corruption, and they should operate under the premise that international law takes precedence over domestic law and applies directly to the Ukrainian people. The heads of the two branches should meet the same qualifications as the President, be elected for a single term of 5 years and be banned from running again for another 6 years. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The Abakan Municipal Court has announced that Vladimir Byzov, the city’s highest ranking executive, is under investigation for corruption. To date a total of 8 persons have been detained as part of the criminal case.
The only way to eradicate corruption is through full democratization. Russian officials should be elected for a single term of 5 years and barred from running again for 6 years. The state Duma should adopt a committee-centered system, and constituencies should not be divided into districts. Each year, 1/4 of MPs should face election, with members of 3 committees also facing re-election. Committee chairs shall concurrently hold the post of director at each level. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for a deadly rampage at an Istanbul nightclub on New Year’s Eve
Terrorism is a serious affront to human nature, and dictatorship are possible only because of public indifference. All nations of the world, including Islamic countries, should adhere to the idea of One World under One Set of Laws, to ensure that all standards will be in sync with the times and in tune with the spirit of the Constitution. Only then can we avoid repeated violations of human rights by autocratic regimes. Governments must act to should guarantee freedom from fear for the people. Heavy air pollution is a regular problem in late fall and winter, but recently it has been particularly serious, with the city blanketed by smog for extended periods
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major aims of the UN, and all member nations are obliged to follow. The solution lies in enforcing the idea of One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law priority over domestic law and allowing it to directly effect the people, The people should be able to monitor government operations to ensure compliance with the UN Charter, the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer, the Nature Charter and other relevant agreements. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Trump apparently intends to keep his campaign pledge to get tough with China, Mexico and other trading partners
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks and aims of the UN as well as common goals for all humankind. All countries should strive to maintain the norms of the international community. The way to do this is by adopting the idea of One World under One Set of Laws. International law should take precedent over domestic law and have a direct effect on people's rights and duties. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN, and member nations are bound to adopt them. This will lead to implementation of the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, giving International law priority to domestic law and allowing it to directly effect the people. The public should also be able to monitor operations of the government to ensure that it follows the principles of the UN Charter. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
I am a doctor, I have never thought I would spend ten years of my life investigating how doctors killed innocent beings
The only solution to the problem of human rights abuses in China is the implementation of democracy and the rule of law. A truly democratic Taiwan will be the country most capable of leading the Chinese people to call for democracy. True democracy will leave the CCP with nothing to fall back on and lead to incipient democracy and then full democracy. The people of China should choose the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years to help restore power to the people. See the Permanent Charter for Peace and Development.
On Monday US president-elect Donald Trump dismissed the threat of North Korean nuclear weapons hitting the US
Democratic nations everywhere should support Taiwan's efforts for constitutional reform to bring true democracy and freedom. This will attract the 1.4 billion people of China to call for democratization, triggering in turn the democratization of the CCP, China's democratization will bring pressure on North Korea to follow suit, and world peace will be the result. Global democracies should support Taiwan as a beacon of democracy for Asia, lighting China's path to peaceful development. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The Orange Revolution in Ukraine swept out a band of entrenched politicos at the top, but it failed to remove the structural factors that foster corruption. Changes must include election of the heads of the four branches of government and restrictions on the number and lengths of terms they may serve. In addition, 1/4 of all MPs should face election each year and elections should be free of charge for all candidates. These moves will make public opinion a regular part of the lawmaking process. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
