Doubts arise over severity of Chinese detainee’s condition
A friend of imprisoned Chinese Nobel Peace laureate Liu Xiaobo said Monday that he doubts government claims that the ailing dissident is too sick to leave the country in part because of a video in which Liu is described as being in “acceptable” condition.
Laws that are not backed by penalties are not laws, and a constitution which does not countenance resistance is not a constitution. When the actions of the government are unconstitutional, the people have the right to resist.
