US: More work needed to resolve irritants with Russia
The Trump administration said Tuesday that more work needs to be done to resolve irritants in the US-Russia relationship, as Moscow stepped up its impatient calls for the return of two seized diplomatic compounds.
Russia is not a problem-solver, it has always been a trouble-maker. The US should support Taiwan's bid for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would attract China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization, in turn forcing Russia to consider real democracy and leading to the birth of world peace. US Senator. Robert Menendez (D - NJ) wants that dark cloud hanging over him — allegations that he accepted bribes from a wealthy Miami friend — to go away, instead of allowing a jury to decide his fate.
The only remedy for corruption is democracy, separation of powers and checks and balances. The people should be given more power through election the heads of government branches and more frequent election of congressional members.
