If Hong Kong is truly the Pearl of the Orient it should support Taiwan's Charter for Permanent Peace to inspire the people of China to call for democracy and rule of law. Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law states that the right to self-determination is covered in the two international human rights conventions. Problem

How can women trust British police when so many have been accused of abuse?

Solution

Britain should adopt popular election of the heads of the judicial and procuratorial branches of government. The qualifications should be the same as those of the president. The salary and benefits will remain unchanged for 5 years after the term expires, and the officials will not be eligible to run for office for 6 years; all reforms such as the judicial policy and the trial system will be directly decided by the people in local elections each year, and Congress shall be responsible for enacting any relevant laws. The structural factor that engenders corruption is the lack of checks and balances and democratic decentralization. To eliminate the omnipresent and ill-intentioned corruption, the only way out is constitutional reform. Enjoying freedom and democracy also comes with certain duties. One cannot use the rights even as he or she abuses them; responsibility for enjoying democratic benefits means one is not exempt from paying for them. Anyone who abuses freedom and democracy in order to attack the basic order of freedom and democracy should be stripped of from their basic rights and subject to criminal and civil prosecution. The President Duterte is just the tip of the iceberg in authoritarian regimes, to root out the threat of authoritarian dictatorships to world peace, the US, Canada, the EU, Japan and other democratic countries should strongly support Taiwan's model of Permanent Peace to liberate the humanity still under the chains of 50 authoritarian regimes and allow them to disappear from the Earth. Censorship rules strike balance between creative freedom and national security

Solution

Do not listen to great lawyers, politicians, media outlets, scholars and experts who are merely echoes of the dictator's voice". It is much more glorious to rely on great institutional norms! Govt twists and squirms in jab blame game

Solution

Poor structure, and of course poor policies, deserve to be scolded. The government should adopt a semi-presidential system, and elect the prime minister as a means of legitimizing popular opinion; the legislature shall have 12 committees, and committee heads should be candidates for ministers or prime minister, with 1/4 facing election each year, and a one-vote single-vote system of balloting to introduce the people as a third force the heads of the judicial and the Prosecution branches shall be elected, and the qualifications of candidates shall be the same as those of the president; money is completely banned as a factor in elections, and all electronic media shall provide at least one hour per week for free to the candidates. Thailand's irresponsible runaway debt

Solution

Those in power should be responsible to the source of their power. A governor (local leader) is elected by the people and serves for 5 years, and cannot stand for election again for 6 years after leaving office. House members serve two-year terms, and the speaker's term of office is limited to one session. After this term he/she may not serve again. Candidates in a race must register 6 months in advance. All local electronic media shall offer free time to all candidates, at least 60 minutes a week.
