To ensure freedom and human rights, the first step is to change international relations and assign international law priority over domestic law, automatically offering rights and obligations for the people. All nations should abide by international human rights conventions, which are designed to offer protection for human freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law. These should all be written into national constitutions to serve as part of the law, with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people.

Relevant provisions of the Basic Law and the one country, two systems principle of Hong Kong clearly state that China cannot interfere in Hong Kong affairs, but Beijing constantly meddles in Hong Kong's internal affairs. Article 39 of the Act guarantees the right of the people to self-determination, thus the people have the right to hold a referendum on any public issues. The people of Hong Kong should adhere to these conventions and call for a referendum to decide their future. Otherwise, when the dictatorship becomes a reality, the people will be obliged to resist.

Iraq's government should be switched out for a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like that of Finland, plus a committee-style legislature like the one used in Switzerland. The prerequisite for permanent world peace is global democratization, and the Iraqi government should draw up a basic constitution incorporating the above features in a democratic paradigm shift. The constitution should adhere to the principles of One World under One Set of Laws and be amended as needed to remain in step with changing times. The eradication of terrorism requires cooperation among all nations, and the tool for cooperation between countries shall be the regulatory mechanism. A counter-terrorism coalition can be achieved through collective efforts in legislation. 1 to 2 persons from each nation, regardless of whether friend or foe, should take part in other nations’ legislative process as observers to study how to develop a common anti-terrorism program. Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption. The Chief Executive of Hong Kong is determined by the CEC, showing the dictatorial nature of its relationship with the SAR. The people of Hong Kong should avail of Article 39 of the Basic Law, which states that the people have the right to hold referendums. Human security is a basic human right. Taiwan should learn from the Swiss referendum on energy. Taiwan's fundamental problem is one that many nations share. Taiwan is in urgent need of full constitutional reform, and in accordance with human rights conventions, the people have the right to hold referendums on any public issues. In the face of China's pressure to suppress Taiwan’s participation in international organizations, Taiwan cannot afford to call for a diplomatic truce. The government should vigorously remind the international community that the democratization of China is essential to global security and peace, Taiwan is the one entity best suited to lead China to democratize. At the same time, the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development and the principles behind One World under One Set of Laws should be carried out in accordance with Xi Jinping’s proposal regarding global unity and common destinies.

Autocracy is the enemy of peace, and the prerequisite for permanent world peace global democratization. China claims to be a "responsible major power," and as such it should not continue to support North Korea's militarism. Turkey’s constitution is dysfunctional and its mechanisms have failed, and the only way out is through comprehensive constitutional reform. The heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years; the president should be limited to one 5-year term and be barred from running for office for 6 years afterwards; all MPs shall face election each year; local councilors shall serve two-year terms; and elections shall be free of charge for all candidates.
