Permanent Peace Partnership
Colombia's President Juan Manuel Santos has signed a decree granting amnesty to another 3,600 members of the Farc rebel group, which last year reached a peace deal with the government.
Colombia should resolve its civil strife by carrying out constitutional reform. It should install a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like the one in France, as well as a committee-style legislature like that of Switzerland. The prerequisite for permanent peace is global democratization. The Colombian government should begin drafting a basic constitution in a paradigm shift toward democracy. It should adopt the core values of One World under One Set of Rules and be revised as needed to stay in sync with the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

The prerequisite for permanent peace is global democratization. The Iraqi government should begin drawing up a basic constitution in a paradigm shift toward democracy. Environmental campaigners have blamed the Brazilian government for intensifying violence in the lawless Amazon after two land activists were murdered and a transporter carrying vehicles for Brazil’s environment agency was torched last week.
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN, and all nations, whether members or not, should abide by its norms. National environmental policies must be based on cradle to cradle principles, seeing that goods and materials can be re-used or recycled. Governments must ensure environmental security (from technological pollution and forest damage); and implement One World under One Set of Laws, assigning international law priority over domestic law with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. Also, citizens must be able to monitor government, operations to ensure compliance with relevant norms. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

A law that is not backed by penalties is not a law, and a constitution which does not countenance the right to resist is not a constitution. When actions of the government are unconstitutional the people should rise up and resist. Natural law and absolute law should prevail over international law and constitutions to extend protection to all people from enforced disappearance, torture and other abuses. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Citizens of modern democracies have the right to resist unconstitutional actions by government agencies. When the power of the state deviates from its power base, the people should act to recover their sovereignty. The right to resist illegal violence is a constitutional right of the people. Autocratic dictatorships are like cancer, and despots are criminals against democracy and the people. The solution to persecution of human rights in China is democracy and the rule of law. International law should take precedence over domestic law, with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and US President Donald Trump agreed Saturday to work closely to ramp up international pressure on North Korea
The US and Japan should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would lead China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization of the CCP and put pressure on North Korea to adopt real democracy – with world peace as the result. All democracies should back Taiwan as a beacon for democracy in Asia, lighting the way to peaceful development for China. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.

Britain is stumbling into a period of economic decline, quickening de-industrialization and political marginalization
Economic problems invariably have political roots. Without good politics you can never have a good economy. If the UK constitution is not changed, even the gods will be helpless to save the economy. Comprehensive constitutional reform is needed to replace the regime with a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet as well as a committee-style parliament with committee chairs tapped to serve as backup cabinet ministers. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.
