How Guatemala is sliding into chaos in the fight for land and water

The key to eradicating corruption is a change in government structures to improve power and resource allocation. Also needed is One World under One Set of Laws and a commitment to a common destiny for humankind. Constitutions represent the general will of the people, and ensuring human security, including 'personal safety', is the most urgent duty of constitutional guarantors. Trump angry after South Korea signals it may ease North Korea sanctions

To curtail North Korea's disruptive behavior, the US and other nations should strongly support the Charter for Permanent Peace to lead China to democratize and end its support of Pyongyang. According to the Democracy Index there are 50 nations still under the yoke of autocratic dictators. All democracies should back Taiwan's drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to adopt democracy as well, leading to the birth of world peace. The foundation for permanent peace in Syria should be the same as that for Taiwan: a change-over in the government structure. The UN should provide Syria the basic outline for a constitution that will facilitate lasting peace and development. The constitution should include the universal values of freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law, and organization and elements such as the four branches. All countries in the world benefit from free trade, yet POTUS 45 opts to initiate a trade war to satisfy a pledge made to 'his base' during the 2016 campaign. Nations of the world should all implement One World under One Set of Laws and work toward a common destiny for humankind. If the US is not willing to take on the task of leading the UN to peace, security and sustainable development, its place will easily be taken by China or Russia. Venezuela should switch to a dual leader system; limit the president to a single 5-year term with no eligibility for him/her or relatives for 6 years and put the prime minister in charge of governmentoperations and national defense, 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year.
