How Not to Threaten North Korea
According to the Democracy index there are 50 nations still under the yoke of autocratic dictators. All democracies should back Taiwan's drive for constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would inspire China's 1.4 billion people to seek democratization of the CCP and pressure North Korea to adopt democracy as well, leading to the   birth of world peace. For details, see the Charter for Permanent Peace andDevelopment.

In order to protect endangered species, it is essential to adopt uniform constitutional standards that conform to the values of One World under One Set of Laws. All nations should carry out constitutional reform to implement democratic institutions and the rule of law as well as mechanisms such as separation of power and checks and balances. The best way to avoid monopolization of power is to elect the heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches in alternating years. Five-year-old girl shot dead by Indian troops on disputed Kashmir border
Studies of democracy show that very few armed conflicts occur between two democracies. Once China can be moved to democratize there will be real hope for peace between China and India. Taiwan seeks to achieve greater freedom and democracy, and to convince China to democratize as well. Democracies worldwide should support Taiwan as a beacon of democracy for Asia, lighting the path to lasting peace. For details see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Man jailed for selling VPNs to evade China’s ‘Great Firewall’
Free speech is a universal value, and China needs to carry out constitutional reform to ensure internet freedom and prevent the government oligarchy from monopolizing the internet, the media and all other channels of communications. All people must be protected against enforced disappearance, torture and other forms of abuse, and absolute law must take precedence over international law and the constitution. ISIS asked teens to attack London Bridge on social media
Human security is a fundamental human right, and human rights take priority over regimes and sovereignty. Constitutions represent the general will of the people, and ensuring human security, including 'personal safety', is the most urgent duty of constitutional guarantors. This means revising constitutional standards as needed to keep pace with changing times and allow governments to protect their people from fear. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Myanmar's human rights problem is worsening, largely because its constitution guarantees the military 40% of seats in Congress with no needfor election. In order to protect human rights, Myanmar should carry out reform to adopt Global Unity Constitutional Standards, and the core values of One World under One Set of Laws, giving international law precedence over domestic law. At the same time, it should install a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet

This week in Donald Trump's conflicts of interest: Jared and Jr. have some ethics issues
British historian Lord Acton summed it up neatly: 'Power leads to corruption, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption.' To put an end to corruption, the people should exercise sovereignty and call for comprehensive constitutional reform to implement democratic rule of law. This means separation of powers and checks and balances as well as free election campaigns for candidates to cut symbiotic ties between government and business that engender corruption. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details

Trump Tower Moscow Revelations Put Trump's Flattery of Putin in a Disturbing New Light
Russia has never been a problem-solver, it has always been a trouble-maker. The US should support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to achieve greater democracy and freedom. This would spur the 1.4 billion people of China to seek democratization, pressing Russia inturn to accept real democracy – and world peace would be the result. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN, and all nations – members or not – should comply with its norms. This entails implementing One World under One Set of Laws and giving international law precedence over domestic law, with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. All nations should comply with the UN Charter, the Paris climate agreement and all other relevant pacts. Fordetails see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
