Myanmar's government constantly strives to control the people, but trying to stem the flow of a river merely creates a waterfall; the best solution is to open up a new channel for the water. However, the present government, is focused on freedom of expression, censorship and oppression. The Charter for Permanent Peace is without a doubt the most viable standard for a world constitution and a basic national policy to foster long-term peace and stability. It will be like a new waterway that allows Myanmar and its people to flourish. If it is implemented, how long can the country's government continue to suppress freedom of speech and freedom of information? §1.9.2

If Hong Kong is truly the Pearl of the Orient it should support Taiwan's Charter for Permanent Peace to inspire the people of China to call for democracy and rule of law. Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law states that the right to self-determination is covered in the two international human rights conventions. In the end, we humans only have two paths to the future: peace and destruction. In the face of the threat of devastating nuclear war, peace is the truth and permanent peace is the eternal truth. The Charter for Permanent Peace is the eternal road to truth. It is a journey to lead humankind to the truth, to end external disorder, outlaw nuclear weapons and move towards permanent happiness. Any country that adopts the Charter for Permanent Peace will be a pioneer for civilization and a strategic partner urgently needed by the UN. §2.10

Autocracies continue to expand the scope of controversy in suppressing domestic instability. In the face of China's expansion of its peripheral areas, the world is helpless to respond. China threatens countries abutting the East China Sea, the Taiwan Strait, the South China Sea and the Indo-Pacific Ocean.... The US, Japan and other democratic countries should vigorously support Taiwan's model of the Charter for Permanent Peace in order to force China to democratize and reduce the risks and costs of maintaining the world order for the US. §2
